Toronto Rush Announce New Staffing Structure

Cosmos Sports and the Toronto Rush of the American Ultimate Disc League are excited to announce a new staffing structure, effective December 2014.  This restructuring includes the designation of the Directors and one Senior Director of Business Operations.

Rob Hyrkiel, who has been hired as the Director of Digital Media, will be overseeing digital marketing for the Toronto Rush, Vancouver Riptide, and Ottawa Outlaws.  A recent graduate and former employee of Carleton University, Rob has extensive knowledge of digital marketing analytics, social media, and graphic design programming.  His knowledge of the Ottawa region, as well as his digital marketing and communications experience with Carleton will prove beneficial to the newly formed Ottawa Outlaws Ultimate franchise.

Liam Allum has been brought on as the Director of Corporate Partnerships for the Toronto Rush, Vancouver Riptide and the Ottawa Outlaws.  Having recently worked with the Hamilton Tiger Cats of the CFL, Liam has an extensive background in building and strengthening business partnerships that are mutually beneficial for both the team and its partners. Liam will be helping to further solidify the Rush and Riptide’s corporate partner base, as well as develop the Outlaws’ from the ground up.

Greg Long, who has been involved with the Rush since its inaugural season, will continue to expand his role as he is promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing.  Greg will be overseeing local corporate partnership development, ticket sales, concessions, merchandising, as well as any additional revenue streams.  He will also be called upon to supervise all sales and marketing initiatives for the team.

Evan Colborne, who has also been involved with the Toronto Rush since day one, will supervise these three newly appointed directors, in his role as Senior Director of Business Operations.  Since the club’s inception, he has served as the team’s Manager of Sales and Marketing, and had a tremendous impact on the team’s successful ticket sales for its first two seasons.  He will continue to help manage the sales and marketing initiatives for the team alongside Greg Long, as the team heads into its third season.
