2009 MLL Champion Toronto Nationals Partner with
Cosmos Sports
Friday, September 25, 2009: Cosmos Sports is
proud to announce a new partnership with Toronto’s
newest professional franchise. Fresh off a successful
expansion campaign in 2009 which saw the Nationals take
home the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Championship in
dramatic fashion, the Toronto Nationals have turned to
the experts at Cosmos Sports to handle the team’s
2009-2010 business operations and to grow on this year’s
successes going forward.
Cosmos Sports will oversee the business operations of
the Nationals including, but not limited to, ticket
sales, corporate sales, game day operations,
sponsorship, and promotions in an effort to build the
brand and awareness of field lacrosse in Toronto and the
surrounding area. Fans of the Nationals can look forward
to new and innovative ticket packages to accommodate
fans, groups and corporate events alike and ongoing
efforts to create the best possible fan experience in
2010.
Major League Lacrosse launched in 2001 in the U.S. to
meet the demand for a world-class field lacrosse league,
driven by a dramatic growth in popularity. The MLL
brings together the world’s best lacrosse players
creating what is regarded as the best on-field product
ever assembled. The league has experienced year-to-year
increases in attendance as it continues to be at the
forefront of the movement for lacrosse as a mainstream
competitive team sport in North America.
Cosmos Sports has performed similar functions in the
past with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL and the
Canadian Soccer League by implementing the ticket sales
knowledge of their management team to effectively
increase ticket sales and overall revenues while
improving the business and brand image of the associated
