Mississauga St. Michael’s Make ‘Major’ Change in
Ticket Sales Department
Friday, September 04, 2009: Founded in
1907 by St. Michael’s College School, they were the
school’s senior team and competed in the Ontario Hockey
Association’s (OHA) junior loop. It did not take long
for their reputation to spread as the team won the Allan
Cup as Canadian Amateur Champions in 1910. The team
spent the next 52 years in Toronto before taking a 34
year hiatus but returned in 1996 under new management.
The team moved to the Hershey Centre in Mississauga
following the 2006-07 season; and now going into their
third season of operation at the Hershey Centre, the
Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors have brought in Cosmos
Sports to manage their ticket sales department.
Cosmos Sports will oversee the ticket sales for the
Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors with intentions of
generating revenue and helping create community
awareness for the club. The Mississauga St. Michael’s
Majors can look forward to innovative ticket packages to
accommodate fans, groups and corporate events, with
ongoing efforts to create the best possible experience
moving forward.
Cosmos Sports has performed similar duties in the past
with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League
as well as the Canadian Soccer League. Cosmos Sports’s
staff of experienced ticket sales experts aims to
increase overall revenues and improve brand awareness of
the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors, one of Ontario’s
oldest and most storied junior hockey franchises.
