Monday, March 14, 2011: Following a very controversial week in the National Hockey League (NHL), Cosmos Sports president, Cary Kaplan appeared on both CHCH News, based in Hamilton, as well as with Bob McCown on Toronto’s the FAN 590. Cary was sought after to discuss the nationwide debate regarding the hit by Boston Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara on Montreal Canadien , Max Pacioretty. The primary focus of both interviews was the reaction of one of the league’s largest sponsors, Air Canada, who in a letter issued to NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, threatened to withdrawal sponsorship should the league not take "immediate" and "serious" action on headshots.

Cary joined the now national debate, discussing Air Canada reaction as it relates to marketing and public relations.
