Friday, February 26, 2010: Over the past several years, Cosmos Sports has had the opportunity to impact the lives of several sports industry seeking University graduates. Students from Universities across Canada have come to intern at Cosmos Sports following their graduation at both the undergraduate and masters level. Gurbaz Sidhu, following his internship with Cosmos told us that, "...I learned more in four months than I did in my previous 2 years of university...".
Cosmos has seen students from institutions including the University of Toronto, York University, the University of Western Ontario, Brock University, Carleton University, Ryerson University, Laurentian University, George Brown College, Durham College, Humber College, Laurier University, Conestoga College, McGill University and University of Northern British Columbia.
Following their time at Cosmos, many interns have gone on to pursue sports industry opportunities that were made possible due to their reference from Cary Kaplan and Cosmos Sports. One such intern is Mike Dahiroc who is currently interning with the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games said,
"Cosmos Sports gave me something that is important for any internship - responsibility. I was involved in all aspects of the business which gave me a well rounded perspective of the sports industry. The leadership of Cosmos Sports provided me with the opportunity to succeed, which allowed me to further my career aspirations with a position at the Canadian Olympic Committee. For that, the experience is well worth the 4 month investment".
In addition, Cosmos Sports looks at their interns as potential employees, leading to a situation where their organization is made of employees who have worked their way from intern to manager to director. If you are someone looking to get into the sports industry, a Cosmos Sports internship could be right for you. For more information visit our internships page at: www.cosmossports.com/internships
