Friday, January 14, 2011 Recently, Cary Kaplan, president of sports marketing agency Cosmos Sports, delivered a thought provoking workshop to approximately twenty American Hockey League (AHL) franchises with over fifty AHL executives in attendance.
The two-day workshop based in Cleveland, Ohio focused primarily on strategies, solutions and benefits regarding new season ticket sales and customer retention. The practical nature of the workshop was received well by those in attendance and was considered a success by all involved.
Vice President of Team Business Services for the league stated “On behalf of the AHL and the fifty-plus attendees at our Senior Executive Meetings, I want to commend Cosmos Sports for providing powerful and practical tools for increasing season ticket sales. Specifically, their seven retention principles will surely have teams renewing fans at a higher percentage this season. If you are looking to increase revenues, I highly recommend you call Cosmos Sports.”.
Cary was particularly proud of this training having worked in the AHL for six years with the Hamilton Bulldogs and being a former winner of the Ken McKenzie Award for the league's top marketing executive. This marked a "coming home" of sorts, for Cosmos Sports' president.
