Friday, January 28, 2011 As January comes to a close at Cosmos Sports with Cary Kaplan, president of the sports marketing company, providing two key training sessions for the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Ottawa Senators, as well as the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Phoenix Suns.
Spending several days in both Phoenix and Ottawa over the past two weeks, Cary’s comprehensive training focused primarily on ticket sales, game day experience, marketing and customer relations. In the past, Cary has worked with numerous leagues and franchises, including the Edmonton Oilers (NHL), Calgary Flames (NHL), and the Houston Rockets (NBA).
Kyle Hudson, account experience director for the Phoenix Suns considered the training to be extremely beneficial. She explains,
“Cary provided our staff with a fresh and different approach to handling renewal objections, obtaining meaningful data from our clients, and ultimately how to pitch the sale, in a polite, but persistent manner. The techniques learned were easily implemented and have already provided our department with positive results.”
