March 12, 2012:After an Executive Search conducted by Cosmos Sports that saw well over 100 applicants, Cricket Canada is proud to announce the hiring of Doug Hannum as the organization's new Chief Executive Officer. Doug brings over 25 years of experience in sport and non-profit sectors to the role, which began March 12, 2012
A highly qualified sports management professional with extensive experience in governance, change management, financial management and organizational development, Doug's vast experience made him the ideal candidate.
Previously holding Executive Director positions at both the Canadian Fencing Federation and Boxing Ontario, Doug has a strong background in provincial and national level sport organizations. Having worked very closely with Cricket Canada throughout the entire process, Evan Colborne, Cosmos Sports' Team Services Coordinator had this to say upon learning of the selection of Doug:
"After initially speaking and meeting with Doug, it was clear that someone with his background and expertise was exactly what Cricket Canada needed to help continue to grow the sport in Canada.
