Rebecca joined Cosmos Sports in April 2014 as a Human Resources Executive. Upon completing her post-graduate degree in Human Resources Management from Sheridan College, she took on a sales & marketing role with Cosmos. In her initial role with the organization, she was involved in a number of different ticket sales and revenue generation projects for clients including the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, Theatre Aquarius, Ultimate Fitness Gyms, TROT Magazine, and the University of Alberta’s Athletics Department. In addition, she was responsible for overseeing the Costco retail program, which involved prospecting for new teams, golf courses, ski hills and tourist attractions to be sold in-warehouse, as well as facilitating gift certificate distribution to Costco locations across Ontario.
In 2015 & 2016, Rebecca washeavily involved in a number of consulting projects primarily focused around Canadian Intercollegiate Athletics. She has been a key contributor to strategic business assessments for both the St. FX University Men’s Hockey Program, as well as the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education. In addition, she oversaw the writing and development of two unique consulting projects for U Sports that discussed the potential for playoff expansion in Canadian Intercollegiate Football, as well as the harmonization of marketing strategy across all U Sports institutions.
Most recently, Rebecca was involved in the co-management of ticket sales accounts for two of the country’s highest profile football events: The Vanier Cup &The Grey Cup. Over the course of several weeks, she assisted in overseeing a team of four account executives in which revenue in excess of $70,000 was generated.
As of January 2017, Rebecca has taken on a new role as the Manager of Business Operations for Cosmos Sports. She is eager to continue to develop her skill sets in several capacities, and is excited to be a part of Cosmos’ continued growth and development as a key player in the sports marketing industry.
