Friday, January 3, 2013: The Toronto Rush are starting to gear up for their second season in the American Ultimate Disc League. Responsible for the entire business operations of this professional ultimate franchise, Cosmos is eager to continue to grow the team. On Saturday, January 4th, Cosmos and the Toronto Rush will be running their second annual open tryout. This event gives an opportunity for members of the ultimate community to take their shot at making the 2014 Rush roster. Open to all males over the age of 18, this tryout is sure to bring out the best of the best
To prepare for the event, Cosmos has been handling all of the logistics. After securing Varsity Stadium for the duration of the event, Cosmos quickly began promoting via social media and email marketing channels. Word quickly spread and registration forms began flooding in. Over 40 athletes have registered for the tryout through the application form set up by the Cosmosteam.
After averaging 1,000 fans per game last season, Cosmos Sports and the Toronto Rush are looking forward to another great year in 2014. With new players looking to make the team, it’s sure to be an exciting new couple of months
