Cary Kaplan - President
Cary Kaplan has been a leading sports executive
since 1995.
As founder and president of Cosmos Sports
in 2003, the company with the ambition to 'Win the
Business', has rapidly established itself as an
international industry leader in several areas
including Team Training and Education, Career
Management, Corporate Sponsorship and Ticket Sales, and
Corporate Branding.
Under Cary's leadership, Cosmos Sports has
built relationships with numerous teams, leagues,
athletes, fans,

universities and
sports organizations and has led the launch of
the Sports Management
Academy series, the Cosmos Sports Institute, Sports
Marketing & Career Conference series and
established the sportexecs.com, sportshiring.com and
pickfun.com brands.
Cary has personally consulted
for and trained over 300 teams and leagues including the Canadian
Football League (CFL), Central Hockey League (CHL),
National Lacrosse League (NLL), Calgary Flames &
Edmonton Oilers
(NHL), and the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) in the
UK.
As well, from 2005-2009
he has served as the Chairman & Commissioner of Canada's only
professional soccer league, the CSL, establishing a
much needed feeder system in the country's largest
participation sport.
For six years,
and prior to founding Cosmos Sports, Cary was a
proud employee of the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club,
involved in the management of their AHL franchise,
the Hamilton Bulldogs.
During his tenure in Hamilton, some of the
highlights included The Bulldogs being awarded the
Tourism Award of Excellence in 1998, 1999 and 2001
for the top marketed organization in Southern
Ontario. In 1999, he personally Won the Ken
McKenzie Award (1999) as the American Hockey
League’s top business executive.
As club
President, Cary championed the “Stay Dogs Stay”
campaign, securing the long term sustainability of
the hockey clubs future in Hamilton. In
their 13th season, the Bulldogs are the
longest serving Canadian minor pro franchise.
During the six
years with the Hamilton Bulldogs, attendance grew
32%. This was the largest increase of any of
the 36 AHL/IHL (AAA) hockey franchises in North
America during this period.
Upon raising the capital for new ownership,
and establishing the Montreal Canadiens as the new
NHL partner of the Bulldogs, Cary left the club with
his wife Amelia to found Cosmos Sports in 2003.
Cary received an Honours BA in Political Science
from the University of Toronto, and subsequently
achieved his MBA specializing in Marketing and
International Business from Dalhousie University.

Amelia Kaplan - Vice President
Amelia Kaplan has been an executive in the sports
industry for 13 years. She began her career in
sports with the Edmonton Oilers farm club, the Cape
Breton Oilers. In 1996, she moved with the team to
Hamilton as the Hamilton Bulldogs Office Manager.
In 2003, Amelia left the Bulldogs to
co-found Cosmos Sports with her husband Cary, where
she is the Vice President of Operations.
Prior to working in the sports
industry, Amelia's previous work

experience included her tenure at the
accounting firm, Peat Marwick Thorn and the University
College of Cape Breton.
Amelia has an Executive Secretarial Science from the
University College of Cape Breton and is proud of
her upbringing in New Waterford, Cape Breton, Nova
Scotia.

Scott Mosey
Executive Director
Having worked in
sports for over 24 years Scott brings with him a track record
of success. Whether as a player, coach, scout, or
owner, Scott has been successful at moving himself
and his clients to “The Next Level”. As a player,
Scott was drafted and played in the (OHL) Ontario
Hockey League for Guelph and the Sault Ste Marie
Greyhounds. He was named to the OHL All-Star team
and went to the Memorial Cup with the Sault
Greyhounds after winning the OHL League
Championship. |

During his three years in the
Ontario Hockey League, Mosey was named scholastic
player for his team in each of the three seasons.
His junior career culminated with winning the Dave
Pinkney trophy for the OHL’s best goals against
average in 1984.
Scott went on to attend York
University where he won a National CIS Championship
while pursuing a degree in Politics and Law and
Society. He won two OUAA Championships and was named
York’s Athlete of the Year for hockey in 1985. Mosey
still holds the University record for lowest career
goals against average, a record that now stands for
over 21 years.
He also attended Laurentian University for Business
Administration while playing Junior A hockey.
Having
coached, managed and owned teams at the Provincial
Junior A level, His knowledge of the sports business
landed him the position of Commissioner of the Metro
Junior A Hockey League in 1997.
Scott
joined Cosmos Sports in 2003 where he worked on
ticket sales accounts with the Toronto Blue Jays,
Hamilton Tiger Cats, Toronto Rock and MLSE’S Toronto
Raptors, and Toronto Marlies. He most recently managed
over $2,500,000.00 in Rogers NFL Buffalo Bills in
Toronto sales.
In 2004 Mosey was instrumental in launching an
Athlete Management division of Cosmos Sports. He is
involved in their Sports Management Academy, Career
Conferences, and Charitable Sports events. He has also
taught and educated future sports executives at the
Cosmos Sports Institute. Most Recently Scott has worked
as the Director of Ticket Sales
for the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League
and the Director of Business Operations for the Toronto
Nationals MLL Lacrosse Champions while clients of Cosmos
Sports.
Scott is involved with
Corporate Partnerships for many of Cosmos Sports
clients. He continues to generate, revenues, exposure
and market activation for all of the Cosmos Sports
Clients.
Scott is responsible for the procurement of new
business at Cosmos Sports which now includes Elite
clients like Ryerson University Athletics, the CTV
Olympic Broadcast at Cineplex for the 2010 games in
Vancouver as well as the NFL on Location and the 2010
Super bowl.

Abhinav Nongmeikapam
Director,
I.T & Creative Services
Abhinav Nongmeikapam
joined the team at Cosmos Sports right after completing
his internship program as a Sports Account / I.T
Manager.
In 2008, Nongmeikapam
was promoted to Director of I.T. & Creative
Services. He earned his Post Graduate diploma in
International Business Management from Centennial
College, Toronto and Bachelor of Engineering in
Computer Science from Vivesvaraya Technological
University, Bangalore, India. |

During his
time with Cosmos Sports, he developed and managed the
websites (cosmossports.com,
SportsHiring.com,
sportexces.com and
PickFun.com) for the company.
Nongmeikapam recently developed an interactive
website (sportexecs.com) for all the sport
executives from various teams and leagues in North
America to work together to exchange ideas, profit
generating concepts and best practices throughout
the industry. Nongmeikapam always knew that his
career goal was in sports industry. His passion for
sports has come from playing and watching sports. He
played tennis, table tennis and soccer for the
school team. Nongmeikapam is from Manipur, India.
Today, he resides in Toronto and enjoying his active
life style. His interest includes tennis, soccer,
football and music.

Michael Miele
Director of
Marketing
Michael started at Cosmos Sports in September 2007 as an account
executive and has been involved in many different
facets of the business since then. He graduated from
York
University with a
Kinesiology Degree and completed the York University
Sport Administration certificate program.
As a large portion of his experience has been in branding and
ticket sales for multiple sport organizations,
Michael is

currently managing Cosmos Sports newest area of the business,
Pickfun.com.
This new and convenient way for sports fans to purchase tickets,
Pickfun.com offers discounted ticket packages for a
majority of the Professional organizations within the
GTA and surrounding areas. Pickfun.com is currently
located in select Costco Wholesalers and is looking to
expand too a few more retail outlets in the near future.
Currently, Mike is also responsible for managing and
selling private theatres for the CTV Olympic Games
Broadcast at Cineplex for the 2010 Vancouver Games. With
64 locations across Canada, this unique initiative
provides businesses the opportunity to entertain their
clients and or staff by watching any live event at the
2010 Olympic games on a big screen at Cineplex.

Bryan McGahey
Director of Team
Services
Bryan is entering his third year with Cosmos
Sports and first as the Director of Team
Services. Bryan made the move to Director
of Team Services in July after being promoted
from Business Manager.
As the Director of Team Services, Bryan has
worked closely with Cary Kaplan on the Revenue
Generation Training. Since stepping in,
Bryan has helped get Cary in front of such teams
and leagues as Houston Rockets, Chicago
Blackhawks, Houston Astros, NHL, NFL, NBA, MLS,
and AHL.

|
In turn, Bryan has also increased the amount of
training that he conducts. Recently Bryan spent 2 days
in Edmonton speaking and hosting at a Sports
Marketing and Career Conference. In addition Bryan is
also responsible for managing and teaching portions of
the Cosmos Sports Institute courses. Since taking over
in early 2010, Bryan has helped place graduates of the
course with such teams as the Toronto Raptors, Halifax Mooseheads and Toronto Nationals.
Bryan continues to manage
www.sportshiring.com. Since 2008 Bryan has helped
place more than 100 executives in entry and senior level
positions within the sports industry. To name a few, in
2009 Bryan helped the Toronto Argonauts hire their VP of
Marketing, BC Water Polo with their search for an
Executive Director, and D.C. United with their search
for a Manager of Digital Advertising.
Since starting with Cosmos Sports in 2008 Bryan has
helped with every department within Cosmos Sports. In
2009 Bryan acted the Manager of Corporate Sponsorships
for the Adrenaline Festival, Toronto Nationals, and
Ryerson University. He also took over the ticket sales
department for the Toronto Nationals in early July.
Prior to taking on corporate sponsorship Bryan was
involved with the Buffalo Bills in Toronto Series
selling more than $400,000 in new business. In addition
Bryan also helped manage several ticket sales campaigns
including the International Bowl and Abbotsford Heat of
the AHL.

Jordan Harding
Manager of Corporate
Partnerships
Jordan Harding joined Cosmos
Sports on July 19th, 2010 as the Manager of Corporate
Partnerships. His responsibilities include creating
business partnerships for Cosmos Sport’s external
clients.
Currently, Jordan is working with
Ryerson University Athletics, Ajax Downs Racetrack and
Slots, and RaceCanada. His goal is to build long term
partnerships through increasing revenue and exposure for
both the external clients and the businesses that become
partners.

As President
/ Founder of Jumpstart Madness, an organization led by
University students, Jordan managed all business aspects
of the organization. The funds raised were donated to
the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charity, which provides
children in financial need the opportunity to
participate in organized sports. Under his leadership
from 2005-2010, the Jumpstart Madness Team organized
several events in as many as five different cities, and
has had as many as forty volunteers.
Jordan’s work experience includes positions working in
financial reporting, budgeting, public relations and
regulatory affairs. His education includes a Master of
Industrial Relations from Queen’s University and an
Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Brock
University.

Rebecca Siddall
Marketing
Coordinator
Rebecca has
been with Cosmos Sports since January of 2009 where she
started out by doing an internship. She had the
opportunity to work with Platinum Naturals on event
management to launch the Clean Sports Initiative during
her 4 month internship.
Over the past year and a half, she previously worked
with Adrenaline Festival, Career Management, St.
Michaels Majors (OHL), Abbotsford Heat (AHL), and
Advantage 4 Athletes. Rebecca previously worked with CTV
Olympics for Vancouver 2010 to offer private bookings to
companies to watch the live broadcasting of the Olympics
at Cineplex theatres across Canada. |

She is currently working with Toronto Nationals as
public relations/marketing coordinator to implement
all game day related initiatives during their 2010
Major League Lacrosse season. She is also working
with Race Canada in seeking corporate partners for
the launch of their first racing season.
Rebecca just got back from an exciting experience in
Pebble Beach, California where she worked the 2010
US Open for 8 days. She worked within the Caddie
Hospitality Committee during the golf tournament
where she had the opportunity to meet some of the
world’s greatest golfers. Rebecca completed her
Business Marketing diploma with Mohawk College in
Hamilton ON. She has previously obtained a golf
scholarship to Warner University in Florida back in
2007. Rebecca has a passion for many sports
including golf, hockey, football, soccer and
baseball which she has shown through her work here
at Cosmos Sports.

David Geoffrey
Sports Account Executive
Dave recently
completed his second year of his Business Administration
(BBA) program at Brock University. Prior to working at
Cosmos Sports, he operated South Huron Pressure Washing
during his summers. He is an avid hockey fan, and played
out his junior career in his hometown for the Exeter
Hawks. He hopes to have a future in athlete management.
He also looks forward to completing his upcoming year
abroad at the Innsbruck School of Management in Austria
this fall.

Tim Siad
Sports Account Executive
Tim is currently in school at
Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo Ontario taking
Communications Studies. Tim has played three years of
college basketball and one year at the University level.
Basketball has taken him too many different cities such
as Vancouver, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Diego,
Toronto, Montreal, Buffalo, Calgary, and Edmonton.

Tim is currently working on Sports
Marketing Career Conference in Toronto finding suitable
candidates to attend the conference. SMCC is a premium
