Amelia Kaplan has been an executive in the sports industry for 13 years. She began her career in sports with the Edmonton Oilers farm club, the Cape Breton Oilers. In 1996, she moved with the team to Hamilton as the Hamilton Bulldogs Office Manager.
In 2003, Amelia left the Bulldogs to co-found Cosmos Sports with her husband Cary, where she is the Vice President of Operations.
 
Prior to working in the sports industry, Amelia's previous work experience included her tenure at the accounting firm, Peat Marwick Thorn and the University College of Cape Breton. Amelia has an Executive Secretarial Science from the University College of Cape Breton and is proud of her upbringing in New Waterford, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
