Evan Colborne

Director of Marketing & Strategy

Evan serves as the Director of Marketing & Strategy with Cosmos Sports. This role sees Evan continue to oversee delivery & service on various client accounts, while also expanding his involvement in new business development for the company.

Joining the organization in 2011 as a Sales & Marketing Intern, Evan has since had the opportunity to gain a broad base of experience, in areas such as: Ticket Sales, Sponsorship, Consulting, Management, Training, Marketing, Human Resources, Ticket Operations, Event Management, and Digital Media.

In 2013, Evan was a key member of two successful Start-up teams: the Toronto RUSH of the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL), and the Brampton Beast of the ECHL.

As an Ultimate player, Evan was thrilled to be part of Canada’s first professional Ultimate team. Throughout the first season, Evan assisted with planning & implementation of ticket sales, sponsorship sales, marketing, web design, and game day operations.

As a member of the founding group that brought the Beast to Brampton, Evan served as the team’s inaugural Director of Marketing, working to build the brand, and ultimately the fan base for the new team. Evan also led the Ticket Operations functions for the new team, which included configuring and deploying the teams Ticket software.

Prior to joining Cosmos Sports, Evan attended the University of Windsor, where he earned an Honours Bachelor of Human Kinetics, with a specialization in Sport Management. Evan also possesses a certification in Inbound Marketing.

Like many working in the industry, Evan is an avid sports fan. He is also passionate about environmental causes and is a proud vegetarian. In his spare time, Evan enjoys participating in sports such as Basketball, Ultimate Frisbee and Golf, and also enjoys movies, photography & videography as hobbies.
