Cosmos Sports and Entertainment is excited to announce its latest partnership with Mac Clark Racing. Mac is a 17 year old F4 race car driver who in 2020 competed in 22 races with 18 wins and 20 podium titles. As one of Canada’s top up and coming drivers, Mac and his team have hired Cosmos to assist in acquiring sponsorship, build stronger relationships in North America’s racing market, and develop an overall marketing strategy to reach his target audience.

President of Cosmos Sports and Entertainment, Cary Kaplan said, “It has been a great privilege to meet and begin working with Mac Clark Racing. It is rare to have the opportunity to work with an athlete on the cusp of greatness. Mac and his family have shown an unwavering commitment to be singularly focused on his vision of becoming the best IndyCar driver in the world. We hope that Cosmos Sports & Entertainment will remain alongside Mac as he fulfills his dreams.”

Graduating top of his class from the top US school for racing, the Bertil Roos Formula Car Racing School, Mac progressed from karting to car racing in 2018. Mac was able to gain experience in car racing driving a GT car in multiple 8 hour endurance races, and tested a GT4 Porsche and experience in BMW and Mazda Miata Sportscars. In 2019, at 15 years old he finished the season winning the rookie of the year honours in the F1600 Canada program. Mac was able to reach this goal again in his sophomore year, becoming the youngest ever F1600 Canada Champion, beating former IndyCar driver Paul Tracy’s record from 1985.

In February 2021, Speed Group announced the signing of Mac as an official Speed Group driver. Speed Group is a motorsports company whose goal is to use experience and knowledge to help its clients. Speed Group is set to help Mac become a professional racing driver by managing and developing partnerships for his career. James Hinchcliffe, one of Speed Groups founders, will also be mentoring and collaborating on Mac Clarks career.

Mac Clark is set to compete on June 24th to the 27th in the F4 U.S series on the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course. The track is 2.4 miles long, a clockwise road course, with 15 turns. The top seven drivers in the overall championship will earn FIA super license points. The top three drivers after each race will earn prize money and the F4 U.S champion will also earn a scholarship to advance to the FR Americas. Mac Clark currently sits in 6th place representing the Gonella Racing team with 37.5 points. The F4, launched in 2014,  was created so young race car drivers around the world have an opportunity to take the first step from karting to open wheel racing. It is an affordable step between karting and F3. The F4 series is the fastest way for young drivers to gain experience in international racing.

In 6 years of competition, Mac Clark has been able to accumulate results that rank him as one of Canada’s top professional prospects. Mac’s goal is to compete full time in open-wheel cars by the time he is 18 years old. Mac is currently continuing in school with an honour roll success. He is driven to becoming a motorsports engineer as well as becoming a real and virtual pro racing driver.
