Joining the American Ultimate Disc League in 2013, the Toronto Rush is a semi professional ultimate franchise becoming the first canadian team to join the AUDL. The Toronto Rush have won 5 consecutive Eastern division championships with 3 appearances in the league championship finals and 1 American Ultimate Disc League title in 2013. The Rush organization has modeled consistency while striving to create an environment that is thrilling and fun for the fans while showcasing their athletes skill and athletic ability.
Spidertech was the first to introduce commercially available pre-cut kinesiology tape. Spidertech has been able to provide athletes and others with an easy to apply, performance enhancing and injury preventive Kinesiology tape! The tape is latex free and made with cotton that is breathable to reduce inflammation while supporting muscles.
Goldtree, a mortgage broker, was founded on two initiatives, to help clients and the planet. Specializing in real estate, mortgages, and conveyancing, they help clients list homes, purchase homes, obtain financing for mortgages, and close transactions. What’s different with Goldtree is that for each mortgage funded with them, they plant 100 trees, helping the planet and creating environmental awareness.
The Toronto Rush sought to find partnerships with local brands and businesses that would help them to bring better experiences to fans and generate revenue. The challenge was finding the right partnerships to work with. The Covid-19 pandemic made this challenge more difficult not only for The Toronto Rush but for sponsorship and partnerships in general.
Cosmos accepted this challenge and got to work to bring together the right partnerships to the Rush that represented the same values and goals as the organization. As two companies looking to expand their audience and brand, while also gaining more exposure in the sports industry, Cosmos introduced Goldtree and SpiderTech to the Toronto Rush.
Bringing all of the organizations together through sponsorship, Cosmos was able to facilitate partnerships with Spidertech and Goldtree for the organization’s 2021 Canada Cup Summer Series. Spidertech became an official partner with the Rush providing the athletes their product to help with injuries, and to support their joints and muscles in order to enhance performance on the field.
Goldtree gained more brand awareness through sponsored videos with the Rush which were featured on the team’s social media channels (See video below). In addition to the sponsored social media posts, Cosmos was also able to help solidify Goldtree as the official Mortgage Broker for the team which helped them gain new clients and continue to promote environmental awareness by planting 100 trees for every mortgage that was financed with the Rush.
